- Step 1: Enhancing Egg Supply
In IUI treatment, the woman can take medicines or other hormonal injections to stimulate the development of an egg in her ovaries. The process starts from the second day of the period and remains for 5 to 10 days. Our doctor will select the treatment based on age, hormonal imbalance, previous infertility, and uterus ultrasound.
- Step 2: Analyze The Progress
The progress and the growth are analyzed through ultrasound treatment. After the leading follicle is reached its standard size, then injection of HCG is administrated, and IUI treatment is performed between 36 to 40 hours after the injection.
- Step 3: Getting Sperm Ready
On the day of treatment of IUI, the sample is tested. The sperm is collected in a container; then, it is washed and prepared in the andrology laboratory so that active and normal sperm can separate from the poor quality of sperm. The sperm must clean; otherwise, if it is directly placed in the ovary, it can create problems in the ovary.
- Step 4:Trigger for ovulation
Our hospital specialist will decide when the embryos are ready for the procedure. It is an exciting and nerve-wracking day because you will complete the process and many things that you still don't know about. The doctor will inject a speculum into the cervix and use the thin plastic tube to transfer the embryos into the uterus in the treatment. If the embryos are attached to the uterine lining, you are pregnant.
- Step 5: Artificial Insemination
The processed sperm is passed down the tube into the womb through this procedure. After the process, the catheter is withdrawn, and you must rest for ten minutes. The treatment takes a few minutes, and it is commonly a painless procedure.
